About usage estimates
Examples are approximate and show what your included units could cover if used exclusively for one activity. Each example assumes you use your entire monthly allowance on that single activity. Most customers use a mix of calls, SMS, emails, AI searches and other AI/API activity, so actual usage for each activity will be lower. Calling estimates assume domestic U.S. calls. International calls and other services may use units at different rates. Email and AI search examples assume approximately 100 words per interaction. Actual unit consumption may vary. Unused units included in monthly plans expire at the end of each billing period and do not roll over.

Do unused units roll over?
Units included in monthly plans expire at the end of each billing period and do not roll over. On pay-as-you-go, there’s no monthly bundle — you’re billed only for the units you actually use, so there’s nothing to expire.
What exactly is a “unit”?
One unit = one minute of a domestic U.S. call. Other actions — SMS, emails, AI searches and API activity — also draw from your units, and international calls use 2 units per minute (rounded up). The “See what your units cover” table above shows rough equivalents.
What’s the difference between a monthly plan and pay as you go?
Monthly plans bundle a block of units at a lower per-unit rate ($0.01) for a fixed monthly price — best if your volume is steady. Pay-as-you-go has no subscription; you’re billed only for what you use at $0.015/unit — best if your volume is low or unpredictable.
Can I change plans or switch to pay as you go later?
Yes. You can upgrade, downgrade, or move between a monthly plan and pay-as-you-go at any time from your dashboard. Changes take effect from your next billing period.
Is there a contract or long-term commitment?
No. Monthly plans are billed month-to-month and pay-as-you-go has no commitment — you can cancel anytime.
What happens if I run out of included units?
If you reach your plan’s included units, you can recharge your account with more units at your plan’s rate — which stays cheaper than pay-as-you-go. Thera keeps working, so you’re never cut off mid-task. If you’re on pay-as-you-go, you simply recharge whenever you need more.
Are hosting, setup, and support included?
Yes. Hosting, integrations, maintenance, and ongoing support are handled for you on every plan, at no extra cost.
